It’s not a new subject but it’s a subject that will always be in trend. I know many of you already said “oh come on, I never spied on my spouse”. I agree, maybe you did not but I bet there was a temptation one in a moment. And even if you did not spied I bet there were moments when you quickly scanned the note you spouse took off from his pocket, or you took a look at the e-mails received when he/she checked them and many other situations.

As long as you are not invading the other’s privacy I think it’s quite ok to be a little bit curious. It means you care about and you are interest in your spouse’s activities. But in cases when you want to check his/her activity repeatedly, you take the mobile without the other’s knowledge and read the SMS there is more that curiosity. There are more situations:

  • Jealousy. Sadly, this is a feeling that can harm pretty much a relationship because people suffering of jealousy are imaging things and exaggerating things that are not necessary true. This feeling is pushing them into spying the ones they love and creating often situation in which they are the victims.
  • Lack of confidence. This appears in cases when one of the spouses was disappointed by the other one and the confidence level between them is very low. In these situations in order to regain the confidence and to assure that his/her spouse its devoted might decide to spy on him. In this category we can include the cheated ones.
  • Possessiveness. This goes hand in hand with jealousy. Because in most cases a jealous person is a possessive person.
  • Suspiciousness. Usually in a couple, if something does not work well you start to feel this and to ask yourself all kinds of questions. In the search for an answer people will definitely take advantages of any spy resources they have.

These were the main reasons and situations why people are pushed to spy on each other but there will be always other reasons. Sometimes is only the desire to control on the other one, sometimes you think of it as a game, but always the desire of spying has deepest meanings that we must search for them in our souls.
