Around holidays I always find myself at an impasse because I have to buy many gifts and I don’t know always what the other person wants. That’s why I thought of a strategy on how I can “steal some information” and find out which is the “perfect gift”. Now I share with you some of my methods and I hope you will take advantage of them:
- Ask his friends on Facebook (or any other social network used) if they have any ideas or if they can do a little digging to find out what he wants.
- Ask the family. Parents can always give you a good idea because they know him and they might even know what he doesn’t have.
- Remember about things mentioned in past. Maybe someday he told you about a thing he enjoys a lot or about a thing he is planning to buy but he did not get it yet.
- Take him to shopping with you and watch out if something catches his attention. If he spends more time looking at a thing ask him if he wants to buy it or if he likes it.
- Think about the hobbies he has and what he like to do in spare time. You could buy him something he will enjoy in this time or something related to his hobbies. If you know his style you could get something to wear.
- Usually people are searching on the Internet for the stuff they want. So if you could take a quick look on his computer you might find out what he wants for Christmas.
In my opinion if you know that someone very well you will have no problems into finding the right gift. But, if that someone is a colleague or a new friend, that you might need these tips. And if you have other ideas it would be great to share them with us.
